Katharina Tillmanns is a writer, director and producer for linear and interactive media and a first year student of the Master´s program Game Development and Research at the Cologne Game Lab in Germany. Throughout her studies and her work as an academic assistant at CGL, she has been focussing on the expressive qualities of games. In summer 2011 Katharina was initiator and festival director of the NOTGAMES FEST in Cologne, which was co-curated by Tale of Tales. She is currently working on an interview-based book on the art and culture of indie games that will be published by daab media in spring 2012.

Katharina Tillmanns ist Autorin und Producerin für Games, Film und Theater mit einem Bachelor of Arts in Filmregie an der ifs internationale filmschule köln , einem Bachelor of Arts in Medienwissenschaften und Theaterwissenschaften und der Ruhr-Universität Bochum und einem laufenden Masterstudium in Game Development and Research am Cologne Game Lab. Seit 2001 ist sie als freie Regisseurin und Producerin tätig. Am Cologne Game Lab der Fachhoschule Köln koordiniert sie seit 2010 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin die Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und betreut die Forschungskommunikation. 2011 war sie Initiatorin und Festival Director des NOTGAMES FEST, dass von Tale of Tales kuratiert wurde.
